Biography

Dr. Oliver “Ozzie” Crocco is an Assistant Professor of Leadership and Human Resource Development at Louisiana State University. Previously, Dr. Crocco was a Lecturer of Human and Organizational Learning at the George Washington University in Washington, DC and a Lecturer and Head of International Campus Life at Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

During four years living and working in Thailand, Dr. Crocco collaboratively developed a certificate program in organizational development offered to community-based organization workers in Myanmar and along the Thailand-Myanmar border. He has also delivered workshops, lectures, and conference presentations in a variety of countries, such as Ireland, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, and Vietnam. He serves as a Special Lecturer at Chulalongkorn University and Academic Advisor for a new Master’s in International Human Development at Universiti Malaya.

Dr. Crocco’s research focuses on leadership and human resource development (HRD) in Southeast Asia, adult development, learning experience design, and enhancing global mindset in university and work contexts. His recent book, Developing Human Resources in Southeast Asia, explores the regional HRD ecosystem in Southeast Asia. He currently serves as a Board Member on the Academy of Human Resource Development Board of Directors and on the editorial boards of Human Resource Development Review, Advances in Developing Human Resources, and Industrial and Commercial Training.
