Innovation Park

About LSU Innovation Park

LSU Innovation Park provides entrepreneurs and companies with the environment they need to grow their business. Our park amenities, experienced business consultants, and resources at LSU and throughout the state provide advice, solutions, access to capital, and other assets under one umbrella.

As the state’s flagship university, research is the cornerstone of LSU. Located just 5 miles south of the main campus, LSU Innovation Park is a dedicated complex for research commercialization and the focal point for technological innovation and startup ventures in the Baton Rouge region. By helping researchers bring new technology to market, LSU Innovation Park creates high-quality companies and jobs, benefiting both the Baton Rouge community and the state of Louisiana.

We give companies a competitive advantage in attracting customers, talent, mentors, outside funding to grow their business, and media coverage.

  • Connections to LSU faculty, research, students and alumni
  • Discounted shipping rates (by 60-70%) and high-speed internet
  • Business consultation provided by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center @ LSU
  • Reservable conference rooms that can comfortably hold 10-20 people
  • Competitively priced land and lab/office space leases for technology companies
    • Office and lab spaces start at $500 per month.
    • Square footage price varies by space.

The LSU Innovation Park environment was perfect for transitioning R&D into commercial practice. Moderate costs and flexibility allowed AST to expand from one office and lab to several offices and two labs over a four-year period prior to moving into a 32,000-square-foot production facility in Baton Rouge. The opportunity for business networking and support also proved invaluable.
